I emerged kget and obtained this at the end of configure script:

You're missing libidn or the libidn development package
Kopete's Jabber plugin will not be compiled.
If you want Jabber support in Kopete, You can download libidn from
http://www.gnu.org/software/libidn or find a binary package
for your platform.

You're missing libxml2, version 2.4.8 or newer, or the libxml2
development package. Kopete will not be compiled.
If you want to use Kopete, have a look at ftp://xmlsoft.org/ or find
a binary package for your system.


You're missing libxslt, version 1.0.7 or newer, or the libxslt
development package. Kopete will not be compiled.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but I think that this could be included as USE in this abuild. If I am wrong, please close this issue.

We don't want to compile Kopete w/ kget, are you even sure this output comes from kget ebuild? Anyway, don't see why a download manager should depend on IM application.
