PROBLEM SOLVED!!! After manually unmerging ~media-libs/openal-20050504, the dependency in "simgear" magically vanished, und "simgear" suddenly was very happy with the 0.0.8 version. Sorry for reporting this bug too early; however "casual users" which do not know about manually fixing such conflicts may still be affected by it. Well, you actually caught everything while I was still working on it. I've made simgear no longer accept the older openal, which will force a "downgrade" of openal. Sorry for the confusion. OK then - thanks Chris. Closing the bug. |
