Description Nicola 2006-08-08 01:21:20 UTC
I'm running a tipycal postfix+clamav+amavis+spamassassin setup,

clamav run as user amavis so the folders /var/run/clamav /var/log/clamav /var/lib/clamav and its contents are owned by amavis,

every time I upgrade clamav I must rember to check the permissions for this folders and its contents,

is ti possible modify the ebuild so it keeps the permissions for this files and folders if they already exist?

thanks
Nicola

No, sorry, we can't break default setup b/c some specific setups do not match it.

Thanks for your answer,

I don't think my setup is so inusual,

however this isn't a so big issue, I must remember to change permissions every time I update,

I think is not too hard add a condition to clamav ebuild to mantain permissions if the directory already exists and I think this doesn't break default setup,

however if you think this isn't possible no problem,

regards
Nicola
