*** Bug 143128 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** The one from: http://www.math.ias.edu/PU_IAS/data/other/PU_IAS/9/i586/ can be converted into tar, so i really think helixcommunity.org hosts a wrong file. The only problem, that this new file is larger a bit: about 160. So please do something. I have exactly the same problem as well. Tell me if I can help. This page contains a link to a working binary, link above seems to be dead or overloaded https://helixcommunity.org/frs/?group_id=154 Yah, the realplayer download site is adding extra garbage to to header for some reason. If you want to download from them and still use that one, just do this: # dd if=RealPlayer-10.0.7.785-20060201.i586.rpm skip=131 of=real.rpm bs=1 Then copy real.rpm to RealPlayer-10.0.7.785-20060201.i586.rpm in /usr/portage/distfiles Ok, its a known bug on their end, though they have it marked as resolved. I filed a bug noting otherwise. https://bugs.helixcommunity.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5217&link=0 The problem is that gforge is adding text to the front of the tarballs. For example, if you use dd to get the first 120 bytes of hxplay-1.0.7-source.tar.bz2 and cat it, you'll see "kliu testing:/var/www/gforge-4/uploads/player/HelixPlayerforUnix/HelixPlayer1.0.7GoldRelease/hxplay-1.0.7-source.tar.bz2" I'll leave the bug open as long as it's an issue on their end, but it is an upstream issue. Fixed upstream. |
