No matter which brower or file download manager I use, I cannot download any bug
attachments correctly.

If I get something which downloads, the item is always named 'attachment.cgi' or
'attachment.cgi.html' depending on where I try to download it from. With these
semi-successful instances, I can rename the downloaded file and work with it
from there. This presumes that the person who uploaded the attachment was
considerate enough to include the file name in the attachmentment comment.

The latest one I tried to download is the attachment in bug 14142. I have no
clue as to what binary format this item is so I haven't been able to work with it.

Any clues or secrets on the correct way to download binary attachments in bugzilla?
