That's not really a "bug". More a lack of a feature. You're right. I changed the severity to "Enhancement". Still, choosing the profile is one of the most important steps of the Gentoo installation. It's not feasible to handle profile selection in the installer frontends. It will be useful for network deployments where the admin can select all the options in a more fine-grained way, but it doesn't make sense for people doing basic installs with the installer. If you want to change the profile, install by hand or use the network deployment code when it's working Closed. |
