Bug 142477 – Speedtouch ST330 modem can't find firmware after upgrade from udev-090-r1 to udev-096-r1

After upgrade to udev-096-r1 and reboot (due to bad weather), my modem (Thompson SpeedTouch 330) can't find stage 1 firmware. Kernel wasn't upgraded. Did required firmware format changed?
After downgrade to udev-090-r1 (version before "emerge --update world") I'm back online.
