crash log for jython-2.1-r8
(In reply to comment #4) > Created an attachment (id=93037) [edit] > crash log for jython-2.1-r8 > !!! When you file a bug report, please include the following information: GENTOO_VM=gcj-jdk-4.1 CLASSPATH="" JAVA_HOME="/opt/gcj-4.1.1" JAVACFLAGS="-source 1.2 -target 1.2" COMPILER="" and of course, the output of emerge --info This would point out that you are using one of our overlays. Please post emerge --info and reopen. You are using a combination of experimental overlays so you should know what you are doing before posting vague bug reports like this to bugzilla. Please join #gentoo-java or post the gentoo-java mailing list. There are people who can help you with gcj issues. /usr/local/portage/layman/java-experimental /usr/local/portage/layman/java-gcj-overlay /usr/local/portage/layman/java-migration-packages If I wasn't clear enough. This is seems to be related to the gcj-overlay and gcj not accepting old source and target attributes. You should also clean your environment as migration-overlay has already been migrated to the main tree. Any way gcj is not official supported yet. Switch to a supported jdk and it should work. Any way thanks for testing the different overlays. I apologize for my negligent behaviour ... but everything else went so smooth during the last updates, that I completely forgot the `gcj-overlay' behind my system! To prove what I mean with `everything else' I have generated a list of package entries in /var/db/pkg/dev-java which I will attach in hope to be of any help ... and as a humble reply to your kind response! Thank you, again... Created attachment 93059 [details]
list of entries in /var/db/pkg/dev-java
I forgot to mention above that `everything else' ... but `jython, jaxme & dom4j' did not compile with `gcj-4.1.1' in my `java-world'.
@ Mehmet Please have a look at the guide, thanks! http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/java/wiki/GCJ_as_a_JDK Btw, it is set as the HOMEPAGE entry for gcj-overlay in layman, isn't it? (In reply to comment #10) Please excuse my delay ... > Please have a look at the guide, thanks! > http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/java/wiki/GCJ_as_a_JDK I've read all available documentation on this homepages ;) > Btw, it is set as the HOMEPAGE entry for gcj-overlay in layman, isn't it?
