(oops, I'm always finding i'm screwing up when posting bugs, even though I'm quite careful to start!) Anways, yea, they're all snapshots! Dummy me. However, I'm still left with only one version of gsmctl to work with. As such, I'm going to have to revert to using my portage overlay to create one of the older snapshots. Eh, the other versions have been removed b/c they didn't even compile (see Bug 122223) and there hasn't been a single bug about gsmlib since then. Chill out and better post the URL for the upstream bug. I don't mean to sound irate. I believe i've just posted this "exepected number" to gsmlib-dev list, but am not seeing anything posted. (Except I did get a gsmlib admin email about trying to re-subscribe after I've already subscribed to gsmlib.) This appears to be a simple parsing error of what cingular is providing for a data field, or just a simple gsmlib parsing error of data returned. Well, anyways, looks like I lost half my gc82 scripts/config files and really should rework things anyways with how I'm using ppp and how Cingular is now the primary provider. Roger, I need you to post a patch here if you want it fixed. Otherwise, I cannot help you, since I'm not gsmlib user nor do I use "Cingular Wireless". I believe I tried or have already posted this bug upstream. I may have had issues getting onto the gsmlib mailing list, or I already am, and there's nothing happening on the list. Bluntly, I think I had issues posting to the gsmlib list as the list may have screwed up my account! If somebody is already on the gsmlib mailing list, and they can post without problems, would be great if they post what I have posted below so the maintainer of gsmlib is aware. I was using gsmlib to identify the network my GSM/GSPR modem was connecting. Since Cingular is running just about every network now, few areas need custom chat scripts. So, in brief, I'm now using just one chat script instead of several different ones and I do not believe I'm using gsmlib, if at all now. :-/ Closed as CANTFIX. If anyone find a way to solve this, feel free to reopen it, but don't forget to post the solution ;) |
