Installing gentoo on an IBM ThinkPad 600E (2645-5AU) using install-x86-minimal-2006.0.iso with the following boot time options of "aspi=off doapm" results in the following boot time error message:

  * APM BIOS found, power management functions enabled ...
  * Starting apmd ...
  /usr/sbin/apmd: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.6: cannot
  open shared object file: No such file or di * Not Loading ACPI support ...

It's not that it's looking for the wrong version. When the CD is built, gcc and libstdc++ (if it's there) is removed, which removes the C++ runtime libraries as well.

This is should be fixed in 2006.1 as it already works in the prelease install-x86-minimal.iso with the md5sum of: 5d560c8d2668fd63180aecc305cd1d7a from July 7th
