Can we have the patch from the bug 257641 in the gnome bugzilla added in to portage?

I don't mind changing the ebuild myself and adding the necessary patches to it and then i can submit it...

were you able to test upstream patch ?

it seems they are waiting on some input from affected users, commiting something that is untested is not good even if it comes from upstream.
