Description Paul Oldham 2006-07-15 23:56:19 UTC
Last night I upgraded to modular X and ran into the problem described in
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138764 so re-compiled xterm. Now it can't set colours.

Just invoking 'xterm' without any arguments you get:

-------------------------------------------
$ xterm
Warning: Color name "black" is not defined
xterm: Cannot allocate color green
-------------------------------------------

and the xterm window created appears with black text on white. Any any attempts to use the -bg switch don't work either. For example:

-------------------------------------------
xterm -bg blue
Warning: Color name "blue" is not defined
Warning: Color name "black" is not defined
xterm: Cannot allocate color green
-------------------------------------------

emerge --info output as follows:

Remove RgbPath from xorg.conf.
