Description mccary 2006-07-12 15:32:55 UTC
I've had an issue of a digest failure for a few days now and I'm trying to track down the problem. In doing so, I've attempted to determine the last time I emerge sync'd. I thought this information was contained in

/usr/portage/metadata/timestamp.chk

and perhaps it is. However, the timestamp shown is from 2005 which I know to be incorrect. Maybe that is the story of another bug.

At any rate, it would be nice if the sync timestamp was included in emerge --info. I would submit the patch myself, but I cannot seem to resolve where this piece of information is stored in the first place.
