Then please test first whether is works. ok. this may come as a shock to you, but "Then please test first whether is works" is not very helpful to me. please elaborate. test whether what works? i don't see an explanation for the "test-request" resolution in the bugzilla help page: http://bugs.gentoo.org/page.cgi?id=fields.html#resolution are you asking me to test whether the card works? it does; i have it installed in my PC, and it is detected by the kernel (it is an old monster voodoo pass-through PCI 3dfx card. don't laugh...). are you asking me to test whether glide works? as i said, i can't install it because of a missing keyword. after some googling, it looks like this is the procedure i would have to follow: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-2132031.html do you know of a better document? is it too much to ask for you to point me to it? i really want to help, but i have literally no idea how to. echo "media-libs/glide-v3 x86" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords emerge glide-v3 |
