I haven't tried this patch. How fast changing is it? If I included a fast changing patch on a fast changing ebuild, (ie. emacs from CVS) am I going to be in for a lot of maintenance work? Below there is a directory listing of every mtty patch file released http://lorentey.hu/downloads/emacs/multi-tty/ About the maintenance work... before Gentoo switched to modular X I just had modify the MULTI_TTY_DATE and MULTI_TTY_REV variables in the ebuild in order to keep the things up-to-date. BTW, beware... ...that mtty patch needs to checkout a fixed-date version of emacs in order to ensure success. ...that Emacs 22 won't officially support multi-tty so maybe in the near future the patch might become imcompatible. |
