Please, upgrade to grisbi 0.5.9 wich has just been issued.
ebuild attached here is near the same as for 0.5.8, but the latex patch has been removed since it's not needed anymore.

Can confirm that attached ebuild works on x86.
Work with grisbi on daily base - have not seen any problmes with version 0.5.9

Compile cleanly and seem's to work on amd64.

I test it with real data.

Please commit in the portage tree for a larger testing.
