Some more info: by placing debug statements in /sbin/rc, I've been able to see that there is several minute delay after printing "INIT 2.86 booting" and actually starting /sbin/rc. There is also a big delay after "Started device management daemon 1.3.25" i dont see how udev could have anything to do with it ... udev doesnt work on 2.4 kernels, only devfs does sounds more like an openmosix issue, but i have no experience with it so i cant really help with the debug here maybe voxus has an idea what oM's patchset you're using? It was at that time the latest tab patchset for 2.4.27. However, I can't find it anymore, since his pages are now all about 2.6. This actually turns out to be caused by http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132550 Not easy to track down... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 132550 *** |
