Here's another stab (it seems to work ok over here, but that's not a great
comparison). What I've done is added, in addition to the last change I
suggested, a --without-gtkhml since this depends on gnome-config, which is what
is giving you error messages.
Danny, Please provide the output of "emerge info" - does gnome show up in your use flags? Also, in looking at the results of your emerge search, I see that there are definitely gnome libraries installed. This is causing the gtk-perl configure process to attempt to run the gtk-config app. You can try installing gtk-perl with USE="-gnome" emerge gtk-perl this *should* override the detection of gnome and kick in the disable flags in the ebuild I sent you earlier. I remerged gnome-libs then tried to emerge gtk-perl. This fixed the problem. Dannyh |
