The settings daemon fails to start if I have line
pointer = 1 3 2 4 5 8 9 6 7 10
in /etc/X11/Xmodmap regardless if I'm using "evdev" or "mouse" driver. "evdev" fails every time.

Upstream fix for similar problem
Could you try it with this patch? It's fix from upstream that went into 2.14.2 for the same symptoms.
Patch solved the problem. I tested both the "mouse" and the "evdev" drivers. Having pointer mappings in the /etc/X11/Xmodmap works also. Good work! Fixed by 2.12.3-r1. Thanks for testing. |
