Description Balint Dobai-Pataky 2006-07-05 07:20:32 UTC
i choose 'values only' for the combobox 'display sensors in panel', removed the applet from the panel, and readded it, but the value of the combo was not saved, it was the default 'icon with value'
Comment 1 Balint Dobai-Pataky 2006-07-05 07:25:13 UTC
it forgets selected i2c devices also.
i had selected 2 temperatures and a fan, and when i start it selectes the 3 items in the list, all temperatures.
Comment 2 Balint Dobai-Pataky 2006-07-05 07:41:00 UTC
it saves fine if I log out of gnome.
Comment 3 Alex Murray 2006-07-05 18:41:10 UTC
That is the expected behaviour, and you will notice it is the same will all gnome applets, that adding and removing instances of applets deletes their configuration data. Data is saved for each applet between logging out etc (as you have noticed).

GNOME herd, can you mark this as NOT-A-BUG or similar, thanks
BTW I am the developer of GNOME Sensors Applet if you weren't aware.
Comment 4 John N. Laliberte (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-05 19:01:49 UTC
marking invalid per upstream request.
Comment 5 Balint Dobai-Pataky 2006-07-05 23:13:36 UTC
i didn't know this is a feature. :)
gome did not behave always like this with saving applets data.

sorry for your time than,
thanks for invalidating it.
