The configure script is calling the wrong version of automake. It might be a bug in the ./configure script or maybe we aren't passing the correct variable to ./configure...investigating at the moment At the moment, I'm unable to reproduce the errors on my system here. It seems to call automake 1.7 here, which is a compatable version. can I force it in anyway? Maybe if you attached the entire compile log, that might help me pinpoint the issue at hand here. done - thanks for your time :) disabling my kde-live (the SVN overlay thing) overlay seems to have fixed this - I can only assume it's a problem in the eclasses that it provides? I imagine this can be closed then.... thanks, and sorry if I wasted your time. :) Yep, that seems the be the problem..
