http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/desktop/x/x11/modular-x-howto.xml Bug is invalid please follow the guide Reopen to dupe. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 138786 *** . This is not a duplicate of 138786. This is related to 138786 as it's attempting to use mesa-6.4.2-r2 which is attempting to pull in x11-6.9. Problem appears to affect both versions of Mesa that are in current portage tree (synced as of 1430 hrs gmt on Jul 2, 2006). Both have RDPEND: !<=x11-base/xorg-x11-6.9" line that appears to be the problem. In this bug though, where's the mesa that's compatible with x11-7? or did someone forget to add it to the portage tree and the manifest? http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/desktop/x/x11/modular-x-howto.xml *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 138786 *** Closed.(In reply to comment #5) > Both have RDPEND: !<=x11-base/xorg-x11-6.9" line that appears to be the > problem. No, the problem is that you haven't had a look at the documentation, despite having been asked numerous times. The above means that the ebuild does *not* work w/ xorg-x11-6.9 and lower, *not* that it pulls in xorg-x11-6.9 INVALID, closed, don't reopen. |
