libpng-1.2.12 just went stable in bug #138433. At least the newest stable net-print/cups depends on <libpng-1.2.10. other problems: 136452 imagemagick-6.2.5.5(stable) up to imagemagick-6.... 137042 x11-misc/xvidcap-1.1.3-r4 doesn't compile w/ libpng-1.2.10 137498 graphicsmagick fails to compile with libpng-1.2.10 137059 x11-misc/electricsheep-2.6.7 fails to compile (In reply to comment #2) > 137042 x11-misc/xvidcap-1.1.3-r4 doesn't compile w/ libpng-1.2.10 > 137498 graphicsmagick fails to compile with libpng-1.2.10 libpng-1.2.10 is not in stable but it has a security issue.. > libpng-1.2.12 just went stable in bug #138433. Same problem here, libpng-1.2.12 went stable but cups needs <1.2.10, I think that >libpng-1.2.10 can't be stable until cups will be fixed.
same problem here I can confirm the bug here to on a Gentoo 2006.0 AMD64 installation Another confirmation on AMD64. Yes, people it is confirmed. We even know what caused it. So please stop bug-spamming with messages providing no new info... :) *** Bug 138925 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 138949 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** well this is hopefully useful to add -- the simple solution of removing the <1.2.10 limitation from the cups ebuild does not compile. So this is going to need a bit of work. :( Cups problem fixed, see bug #136346 All blockers closed. Does that mean this one can close, too? yes, _please_, b/c I was the reporter, I can't remove myself from the email list, but my intention of the original bug was far away from participating on the whole story of libpng. as the reporter you can close the bug ... ok, closed. |
