x11-misc/fluxconf-0.9.9 ebuild
Because there are some problems with fluxconf if you compile it with GTK1 support only (see the README file in the sources), I added a 'gtk2' USE-flag and more complicated dependency checking. And, IMHO, because you have no use whatever for fluxconf if you don't have fluxbox installed, I added it as a dependency ;)
I could add this, but it doesn't work very well with fluxbox-1.0_rc3 (the current stable), so I really don't see much of a point until a new version of fluxconf comes out that actually supports all the new features in the keys file. I will contact upstream and ask if a new version can be released that matches 1.0_rc3 Hmmm... not a good sign - My email to upstream bounced, and I can't find any more recent contact info for him. We may have to remove this package. 13:01 < _markt> fluxconf isn't part of the project and never was 13:02 < _markt> as far as I know, it's also outdated in terms of fluxbox configs 13:05 <+omp> it's not too hard; just mask it, send an email to -dev, a few weeks later remove it :) 13:09 <+omp> drac: okay, if you decide to remove it, commonbox is okay with it ;) plus it's still using gtk+-1.2, one of last ones in x11-misc category. please p.mask for removal.. upstream, 13:37 < fab31> izhirahider: still alive but not really maintained (no more time), btw I accept patches 13:40 < fab31> drac: btw, if fluxconf use gtk-1.2 then complain to your distro packager, it supports both (and if you have gtk2 you get more features) 0.9.9 is in tree but (at least for now) package.masked. |
