Description Simon Keimer 2003-01-13 11:02:53 UTC
I wrote an ebuild for the Perl Mail::Sendmail module.

It would be nice if it could be added to the portage tree because it is a dependancy for
PureSecure an TIDS from Demarc, for that I will provide an ebuild, too.
(As soon as I have found somebody who could help me writing it, patches and testing for
PureSecure on Gentoo are finished, so I can provide them to anyone interested in helping me to
create the ebuild)

the ebuild

noticed that I forgot to upload the ebuild, instead I've had only put a link to
it on my homepage...

A system is being worked on to allow Portage to automatically install Perl
modules from CPAN. If possible, I would like to wait to have this feature
handle this ebuild. However, if something outside of the dev-perl tree, like
these other programs you mention, should get into Portage, I will reconsider,
as it will be needed as a dependency.

g-cpan.pl appears to install this module correctly straight from CPAN.
