Build log
By chance, have you used Java 1.5 in the past? In that case, you will need to use java-1.5-fixer to help rebuild packages that were built with it. I have the Sund JDK 1.5 installed, but it's only been set as a user JDK, never the system wide one. I'll run anyways, just in case though. A problem with the old system is that if you re-merged a VM, it would get set as the system VM. So, you may have updated/remerged at some point, and 1.5 got set to the system VM. Hmm, you may be right, there seems to be a bunch of packages being fixed * Failed to fix =dev-java/xml-commons-external-1.3.02 * Putting it in the queue for next run * Detected a repeat run. Something is probably wrong. * Aborting... * There was a problem fixing all the broken packages! I guess that's a bad sign. Probably makes the bug invalid too. Glad that helped. Worse case, you try unmerging stuff that is having problems being rebuilt, and remerge it. Important: you'll need to have a 1.4 JDK as the generation-1 system VM. How come I get errors like: [javac] Error: option --runtime not recognized When emering java packages? Is it safe to ignore? emerge just keeps on going... Not enough information to know. If it persists, please file a separate bug. Anyways, 1) Unemerge xerces 2) Re-emerge xerces dependencies 3) emerge -uDN world 4) java-1.5-fixer Made the libraries as right as rain apperantly |
