Description John Tselekounis 2006-06-25 08:47:38 UTC
GENTOO LINUX 2006.0 on x86
CPU:Athlon XP 2400+
VGA: Geforce 5200 128mb

Here is the problem: when i run Mozilla-firefox-1.5.0.4,gaim-1.5.0,gnomeradio-1.4
and rox-2.2.0, as a normal user, do not work. When i run the same progs as root everything is ok.

The errors i get(as normal user):
a)firefox:
/usr/libexec/mozilla-launcher:line 117: 6422 Segmentation fault "$mozbin" "$@" firefox-bin exited with non-zero status (139)
b)gaim:
Gaim has segfaulted and attempted to dump a core file.
This is a bug in the software and has happened through
no fault of your own.

It is possible that this bug is already fixed in CVS.
If you can reproduce the crash, please notify the gaim
maintainers by reporting a bug at
http://gaim.sourceforge.net/bug.php

Please make sure to specify what you were doing at the time,
and post the backtrace from the core file. If you do not know
how to get the backtrace, please get instructions at
http://gaim.sourceforge.net/gdb.php. If you need further
assistance, please IM either SeanEgn or LSchiere and
they can help you.
c)d) rox and gnomeradio return no error at all.

I placed all in the same bug report because everything messed up after i did two things.
a) emerge freefonts
b) I tried using cedega-4.3.2 to run Lineage2 rpg game(as root)
Before a) and b) actions evertyhing was working perfect. now i have to run these progs as root...

I tried to solve the problem by doing:
a)remove the old config files
b)remove and reemerge the packets
c)add a new user
but nothing...
