Description Pierre Lejeune 2006-06-24 04:33:57 UTC
Hello all.

I updated proftpd to version 1.3.0 yesterday. This morning, during boot, proftpd refused to start because : "/var/run/proftpd.pid is not a valid parameter." So I looked in /etc/init.d/proftpd and I saw a lacking pidfile parameter.

start-stop-daemon --start --quiet --exec /usr/sbin/proftpd -- /var/run/proftpd.pid

The fix is to add 'pidfile' for that line to look like this : start-stop-daemon --start --quiet --exec /usr/sbin/proftpd --pidfile /var/run/proftpd.pid

Can someone fix this file in the proftpd-1.3.0 ebuild?

Don't restrict bugs, please.

Did you etc-update after the update? A new init.d is installed with 1.3.0

I thought I did. But actually I didn't. Sorry for disturbing.
