Description simishag 2006-06-19 13:35:50 UTC
I have a number of servers that share portage & binary packages. I did an emerge from source as "emerge spamassassin clamav amavisd-new." This ran fine on machine 1, and built a total of 66 packages. I then did "emerge -K" on machine 2, which pulled in a total of only 34 packages. Please advise if these 2 lists would be helpful, I can grep my emerge.log if necessary.

On machine 1, amavisd started up fine. On machine 2, when I tried to start amavisd I got Perl error messages indicating some things were not installed. I had to manually "emerge -K" some additional packages to get amavisd to start up. This looks possibly related to spamassassin-3.1.3, which I installed at the same time.

I had to install manually:

dev-perl/Digest-SHA1
dev-perl/HTML-Parser
