During an "emerge --sync", emerge segfaulted after the rsync portion and when I tried to restart the emerge with "--metadata" my computer froze and I had to  reset the machine. I found the following in kernel.log:

I've I searched "bugzilla.kernel.org" and I found one reference to page_alloc.c and overflow on 32-bit machines but it seemed unrelated to this since this is preempt-related?

Reopen if you can reproduce it w/ latest gentoo/vanilla sources. Thanks.
