gst-plugins-pitfdll-0.9.1.1.ebuild
I think we should give it 2 weeks more before we decide whether to put in portage. There is a small chance we may get a release. Any news on this? Yes, I am working with Ronald to iron out a few bugs before it is released. Any news on this? Gentle poke? Created attachment 106201 [details]

new patch from archlinux: use-fixed-caps.patch http://cvs.archlinux.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/multimedia-plugins/gstreamer0.10-pitfdll/use-fixed-caps.patch?rev=1.1&cvsroot=Extra&only_with_tag=CURRENT&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup What is the state of this one? Thanks Ubuntu is now providing a snapshot from 20080215: http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/gstreamer0.10-pitfdll Please get this in portage Thanks Most useful codecs are in ffmpeg now, does anyone still want this? I believe that wma lossless support hasn't been moved to ffmpeg yet, while this library with the win32codecs package may do that. It may thus still be useful? I can't find a way to handle WMA Lossless natively from my Gentoo Linux install. If this provides codecs for that, please, let us have the cake. Upstream very heavily discourages packaging this dead project, so I don't expect this in the main tree anytime soon, I'm afraid. Feel free to reference the upstream bug report for gstreamer WMA lossless audio support in the URL field, so interested people know where to track this functionality getting present by other means. Per last comment. I think 2 years later it is high time to admit this is not happening. Thanks for your report. |
