Try re-merging x11-proto/xproto. Thank you. It worked. I think that this ebuild should be patched. It's not the ebuild's fault: josh # emerge -epv libX11 | grep xproto [ebuild N ] x11-proto/xproto-7.0.5 USE="-debug" 0 kB xproto should have been installed. For some reason certain people's machines are either not installing xproto or miss-installing it. I haven't seen any reason for it yet, and I also haven't been able to reproduce it.
