well, all is in the title. What about stabilizing layman ? 

I there are some bugs that needs to be solved first (didn't found searching through bugzilla) then maybe this bug could be used as tracker.

No there is not really anything holding this up. I am going to add a few lines of code this week which will help with transition of overlays to overlays.gentoo.org but after that I guess I'll issue a request to the arches.

I've been running the most recent layman on ~x86 and have not encountered any problems.
