Description Marius Caldas 2006-06-12 23:45:47 UTC
I just emerge --sync'ed both my ~x86 and my ~amd64 systems, and when I tried my usual "emerge -Dup world" I got:
********************
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating world dependencies -
emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "=~kde-base/kdepim-3.5.3".
(dependency required by "kde-base/kdeaddons-3.5.3" [ebuild])

!!! Problem resolving dependencies for kde-base/kde
!!! Depgraph creation failed
*********************

So I created the /usr/local/portage files for kdeaddons and kdepim, edited them and removed some of the dep's just to see what was the problem, but I kept getting further and further dependency problems similar to this. I gave up after fixing three consecutive KDE ebuilds, as it was clear that there was some bigger problem.
It seems to me there is a portage problem introduced with my latest emerge --sync. However, emerge -Nu world, emerge -u world and emerge world all seem to be working. It's only when I use the -D flag that things break like I described above.
Here is my emerge --info:

Just tried a emerge -p --depclean, and it is affected by the same problem as emerge -D world.
