googleearth-4_beta.ebuild

Bit ugly but it's a start.
Comment 3 Stefan Schweizer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-12 17:48:29 UTC
thanks, I added the ebuild to portage.
Comment 4 Tristan Heaven (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-12 17:50:25 UTC
It wasn't finished but okay...

Please elaborate?
Comment 6 Stefan Schweizer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-12 17:56:56 UTC
I have of course reqorked it before inclusion, that is usual. Close to nothing goes in untouched from the bugs.
Comment 7 Tristan Heaven (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-12 18:03:00 UTC
Should probably have some dependencies and it should do something about the exec stack notice.

"RWX --- --- opt/googleearth/libcrypto.so.0.9.8"
Maybe just remove this.

Comment 9 Tristan Heaven (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-12 18:14:43 UTC
What happens when you want to do a version bump and the filename isn't changed?
Comment 10 Stefan Schweizer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-12 18:19:00 UTC
then we have a problem. I have been contacted for picasa with a request not to mirror the file. Probably I need to contact the guy then again about Google Earth.
Comment 11 Markku 2006-06-13 01:01:49 UTC
It seems there is a problem with file sizes of the GoogleEarthLinux.bin.

ebuild shows file size 17077661

bin file works, it passes verification and starts graphical installation program.
