procmail keeps creating ~/maildir when run, regardless of the values of MAILDIR, DEFAULT, etc. `strings /usr/bin/procmail | grep maildir` says it is hardcoded. I compiled the same version (3.22) from the original sources from procmail.org (without the Gentoo patches), and it works fine (and `strings ...` says, there's no hardcoded maildir in the binary), so I guess this comes from one of the patches (gentoo-maildir2.diff).
