Are you referring to the GUI installer? Yes, I am referring to the GLI not being able to set it. An overhaul of the make.conf screen has long been on my list of things to do. Unfortunately, I keep finding more important things to do with the installer. *** Bug 135498 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** (In reply to comment #3) > An overhaul of the make.conf screen has long been on my list of things to do. > Unfortunately, I keep finding more important things to do with the installer. Have you had a look at it in the meantime and can we close this bug? Though this bug initially started as a complaint about the lack of LINGUAS configuration in the make.conf screen, I think it is the right bug to consolidate all of the desired improvements for the make.conf screen. from bug 88504: * string showing complete CFLAGS value in make.conf screen from bug 123078: 2. USE should only be what is set by the user themselves, otherwise empty. also split into global and local USE screens. from bug 129195: 2. Separate out the USE flags into Local and Global because few people ever use the local flags. Make them tabs you can alternate between.. Global being the main tab. 3. Add the distcc box. With 2007.1, the installer will be for networkless installs only. Since nothing you change in make.conf should affect a networkless install, I'm removing this screen. |
