Yeah, I could use some help there, do we need only a bump for the ppds? Or does -filters and engine need to be bumped too? irc #gentoo-printing btw :) I added a new version hard masked for now. Have fun trying it out :) Please tell me how it works and if I need to bump the other packages, too *** Bug 133369 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Hello Stefan. Foomatic-db-20060601 works great on my amd64 machine with cups-1.2.1. And yes updated foomatic-filters and foomatic-db-engine would be nice to. Thanks so far. t. ok, I had a closer a look at the foomatic mess, and I bumped all the versions today, I also split up foomatic-db: foomatic-db: Printer information files for foomatic-db-engine to generate ppds foomatic-db-ppds: linuxprinting.org PPD files for postscript printers foomatic-filters-ppds: linuxprinting.org PPD files for non-postscript printers So you should only need one of the 3 now and also you can unmerge foomatic-filters, foomatic-db-engine or both, depending on which you select form the obove. Also do you think foomaticdb should be a default use? I think it should not be, because no one needs foomatic db xml files for printing. So, what do you think? Any DEPs I changed wrongly or messed up, anything you would like to change? unmasked, fixed Everything looks fine Stefan. Thank you again. t. |
