is this really needed? I tried with oya3un's resume http://www.mahagonny.net/cv_jp.pdf and it works fine. The reason is that the new xpdf uses poppler and poppler uses fontconfig. That means we get correct fonts with fontconfig. Also that is the reason why the font support was removed from the ebuild. Almost pdf files don't need them. but that's not necessarily in rare cases. ex. http://lc.linux.or.jp/lc2005/slide/CP-09s.pdf this pdf needs japanese language support package. the postet pdf file does not even work with the new ebuild for me. Do I need any special fonts to view it? I added them to the current -r8 ebuild, because it made some warning on my system go away. Still I would like to be able to display the other pdf correctly before doing a revision bump :) tell me if it works, please |
