The program 'Gecko' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'. (Details: serial 191902 error_code 11 request_code 53 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) firefox-bin exited with non-zero status (1) i runed firefox on terminal and got the above i tried also in ubuntu firefox and crashed there too > The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
Well, you are probably out of memory then, doesn't surprise me... Looks like this should be moved upstream.
Seems to be working fine here. It took a long time to load (512Kbps ADSL here), but it got there in the end, with another >25 tabs open. Lack of memory was discussed here... out of interest, how much RAM has the machine suffering the problem, got? The box I'm using here has 1GB RAM, and about 3GB of swap space (also used for a tmpfs /tmp). Have you tried the later releases? I'm using Firefox-1.5.0.7 without any issues. |
