Description Michael Labhard 2003-01-08 11:30:24 UTC
Stable Gringotts was not working for me. Contacted the author and receieved the following response, which fixed the problem. Please upgrade the ebuild or, I will if you wish.

"stable" gringotts version in gentoo is really really old and rude.
Current version is 1.2.3. That fixes all the bugs you'll find... there's
an unstable Gentoo port of it:

http://cvs.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gentoo-x86/dev-libs/libgringotts/
http://cvs.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gentoo-x86/app-crypt/gringotts/

or you can download it from Gringotts' site:

http://devel.pluto.linux.it/projects/Gringotts/index.php?page=downloads&nocount=1

If you care, write to the old maintainer and to the new one, asking to
upgrade the stable version... I fear that you'll have to convert your
file, tough, for the 1.2.3 uses a newer file structure (v3). It's enough
to get 0.7.0, open your file and save it immediately; then you'll be
able to use it in 1.2.3. Please write me if you have problems.
        Greetings,
                Mano :)

This will be attended in the (near) future, when Gentoo 1.4 is released.
Currently, we're on a freeze stage for our stable packages.
