¿It's a joke? ¿It's a hacker? Google doesnt know ARON_WAS_HERE directive. Also apears in mozilla-1.7.11-r? , seamonkey-1.0.1 , mozilla-firefox-1.5.? ebuilds. But only apears in Gentoo ebuilds, and ARON isn't in other Firefox builds about:buildconfig . Sorry if I'm in mistake, but it makes me nervous. If it was a joke, I would prefer -DLARRY_WAS_HERE ;) Aron Griffis is the Gentoo mozilla-firefox maintainer, the name has no special meaning to firefox itself. And the reason *some* otherwise unused word must be used is given in the ebuild itself: it'll later be replaced with a -D option that does have an important effect, but which can't be used right from the start. Sorry, I meant he's the author of the mozilla-firefox patch that requires this, not that he's the mozilla-firefox maintainer. LOL... :) No, it's not a joke... It's a hackish way how to inject Gentoo-specific plugins paths into the autoconf stuff. |
