that's with flac-1.1.2-r6 ? with flac-1.1.2-r4 was everything alright ? add sound herd so Diego can take a look. Testing all of the 1.1.2 builds. r3, r4, r5, and r6 all play fast. r1, and r2 do not appear to be in portage any longer. If there is any other information that could prove useful, just ping the bug (I check my bugs regularly). Thanx Muchly, Frank Added note: If I install 1.1.1, all is well. If I go to /usr/lib and manually "ln -s libFLAC.so.6.0.1 libFLAC.so.7", I get the exact same behavior as if 1.1.2 were installed. If I remove the libFLAC.so.7 symlink, xmms playback speed returns to normal. That's really strange Thanks muchly, Frank Russo Another strange thing I found while trying 1.1.2-r7. XMMS displays the bitrate as 28Hkbps. Gonna ping Josh and see what he has to say. Frank xmms and all plugins are now package.masked and will be removed from the tree in one month. WONTFIX. |
