Description Georg Witwer 2006-05-29 11:59:00 UTC
Version 2.60b gets kicked via punkbuster saying:
violation (GAME INTEGRITY) #20004

According to this here [http://forum.splatterladder.com/index.php?showtopic=2900&pid=21061&st=0&] clients should still use 2.60, which has a security issue [GLSA 200605-12].

We can't do anything about servers not upgrading. Sorry.
Comment 2 Georg Witwer 2006-05-30 08:52:08 UTC
This happens on servers running 2.60b, as mentioned in the first post of the link I provided. I made an overlay and downgraded to version 2.60, which has a security issue though.

That link is *not* from id Software, who says that everyone should update. Also, we don't put vulnerable packages back into the tree. As I said, there's not much that I can do about this, as I don't have control over what upstream does, and even less on what Punkbuster does.

I'm not trying to argue with you and I'm sorry if I'm just wasting your time, but I don't understand how it can be labled stable, when it obviously doesn't work as client.
