I was told gentoo does not install the opensc config file opensc.conf by default. That would be a bug, as all pkcs15-init operations at least need
to know where to find the profile files, and that information is no longer
compiled in with opensc >= 0.10.0, but needs to be set in the config file.

so please follow the quickstart procedure and install the opensc.conf file.

please consider the attached patch. it also has an updated HOMEPAGE, LICENSE and some warnings for those that will update from opensc-0.9.4.

please be advised that the opensc.conf is wrongly assuming that the default value of 'lock_login' is 'false'. someone might want to ask upstream about that.
from my tests it shows that the default is 'true'. 

if you wish I could take care and wrap this one up.

fixed in 0.11.0-r1, thanks for the bug report.
