I let it install for several hours, and when I came back from work it was still on 0 percent.  Why is it doing this?

This is a known bug.  Please go back and try again but first make sure to check the My Network is already active checkbox on the second screen "Client Configuration".  Please reopen and provide lots of details if that does not work.  Also please read the help screens in the installer.

And please do not randomly check boxes. There is no reason to restrict this bug.
