![]() (In reply to comment #0) I wouldn't mention in the Portage handbook itself; that is only about official Gentoo-provided tools that come automatically installed with your base system. While eix is handy, its usage is out of place in the Portage handbook. We do, however, maintain a separate portage-utils guide[1]; portage-utils is a set of official portage utilities very similar to eix. We'd be happy to see any eix guide/introduction (doesn't have to be that long, you know) you might want to contribute. :) [1] http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/portage-utils.xml Closing for reasons specified above.
