This is not gentoo-specific. I do not think it is a bug either since the python tutorial describes this as how modules are located (see http://docs.python.org/tut/node8.html#SECTION008110000000000000000). So we are not going to change this in gentoo, since we would then have a python that behaves pretty drastically different from all other pythons. I guess you could ask about this upstream, although I doubt they will change it. <@Halcy0n> If he wants to have that behaviour in his program, just tell him to remove '' from the front of os.path and append it at the end. (that's something like "import sys; sys.path.remove(''); sys.path.append('')") |
