wmii-3 was released 2006-05-19. Here is an ebuild, probably not perfect, but it works fine here. It is based on the wmii-2 ebuild, but I changed quite a bit. I only have ~amd64 and ~x86 in ACCEPT_KEYWORDS; I guess you can add other archs if you test it, which I'm not able to do.

wmii is a dynamic window manager for X11. It supports classic and dynamic window management with extended keyboard, mouse, and filesystem based remote control. It replaces the workspace paradigm with a new tagging approach.
