Sure, if you solve the bug I referred to... The use flag won't solve it automagically. Ok, I'll try to make a new ebuild, I don't want 200Mb (distfile + files) of unused packages in my box. sane-backends-1.0.17-r1.ebuild
Seem to work, it just fix USE_LATEX="no" if doc use flag is not selected,
however it generates all the other docs, so the flag may be called latex too.
Please test.
re-checked, here the ebuild was working without latex even removing the line forcing USE_LATEX , so some more testing/input may be needed. Reopen... Tried even to emerge all backends with old ebuild (removing just latex dependancy) and use flags: "gphoto2 usb -ipv6 -v4l". Still was emerge fine here, so we'll need testing from someone who had previously issue in bug #123005 to be sure it's fixed. Strange. I could reproduce the problem of bug #123005 back then, but can't any more. Just unmerged tetex and had no trouble building sane-backends. Removing the dependency, closing this bug and reopening the old one. Sorry for the trouble. |
